So I saw “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” today.

While the drama wasn’t as great as The Lord of the Rings (due to the fate of middle earth NOT hanging in the balance), it was an enjoyable flick filled with numerous mini Ork battles, hungry trolls, wizards, a few good elves (“never trust an elf!”) and one nasty dragon who you barely saw.

Is it worth seeing? Do you have to ask! :-D

Even if you are a SciFi geek who despises fantasy movies, this is one that you should see!

Just make sure you eat before the film (as movie theaters are not known for their food!).

So, without further ado and on behalf of New Line Cinema, Warner Bros. Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Wingnut Films, and the entire cast and crew of “The Hobbit” films, I’d like to announce that two films will become three.

Peter Jackson on his Facebook page today.

Previously, they had decided to turn The Hobbit into two separate films, one release this December and one release in December 2013. Now they’re adding a third film, with footage they shot — based not only on The Hobbit, but on the appendices of The Lord of the Rings as well.

The Hobbit to be three films instead of two?
