As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
King Solomon (Proverbs 11:22)
Dating advice from a man who married over 1,000 women?!

Haha - “Bible fan-fiction” :P
He was also apparently ugly too!
“For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. (Isaiah 53:2)”
I wonder what would happen if someone painted/drew a picture of an ugly Jesus?
I’d probably buy it as it would stir up a lot of interesting discussions. ;-)

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
It’s sad how easy it is for me to whine/complain about God’s standards, only to remember that he has (without fail) blessed me for living by those standards.
“Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. (1 Samuel 12:24)”
I need to be more grateful towards God instead of being a jerk.
No more pinky swears or I promises.
Just let your yes be yes and your no be no.
“But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath:but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. (Apostle James, James 5:12)”
More thoughts about this here, although I think Hannah said it best over 3,000 years ago.
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.
